Keeping Score

Do you know how many sales you had last month?
Do you know how many sales you had last year?
Do you know how many refunds/chargebacks there were?
Do you know the total $ amount of any of the above?
Do you know what percentage of your clients are returning clients?
Do you know how much you paid in salaries last year?
Do you know what percentage of your clients are from ___ [insert country]?

With the technology available to us we really should have these figures at the tips of our fingers without investing too many hours in collecting the data.

Do not underestimate the value of having access to these numbers. Not having it is like not having a light switch in your office. You can survive without it, but you better have night vision.
